The Parish Plan to be Updated 2010
Local governments are keen for parishes to produce their own plans which ultimately should be incorporated as formal documents within parish and district council planning procedures.
An initial survey of Dunkeswell residents has already been completed and following on from this a more detailed questionnaire has been produced which will hopefully provide a comprehensive picture of the present and future concerns of our community.
In order for this to happen as many residents as possible will need to complete the questionnaire and make their views known. This is the only way residents can hope to influence and be part of Dunkeswell's future.
Therefore please respond to the survey when it comes through your letter box with the June edition of the Parish Magazine. You have until 30th June to respond and if you're lucky you may even be rewarded with a cash Prize!
Remember - return your survey by 30th June for a chance to win a cash prize...

WELCOME to this East Devon village, we have one pub, one social club, a village stores and post office, a hairdressers shop, an Indian restaurant and takeaway, a mobile hairdresser, a village hall, a community centre and a doctors' surgery.
We also have an air and parachute centre with adjacent free-house bar and food facilities, microlight training, small air museum, nearby gliding club, a go-kart circuit, an equestrian centre, a village church and abbey, a methodist church, and a youth club.
There are two playing fields, a bowling club, a football club, typically quaint Devon cottages, a modern housing estate, a busy industrial estate, a village pond, Lakeview Manor, a trout farm and fishery, a plant nursery, plus nearby caravan and camping park, a garage, all the usual related societies and a parish magazine. In fact you could say Dunkeswell is a model village...
Something for everyone really, I hope? - Editor
