On Saturday, 12th November 2011 a female parachutist was rescued from a 50ft high tree by five specialist rescue crews after an unfortunate accident at Dunkeswell Air Centre.
Two fire appliances from Honiton attended the incident, which occurred at 15:48 and a specialist rescue team from the urban Search and Rescue station in Exeter was summoned.
A second Search and Rescue team from Bridgwater and a further appliance from Cullompton were requested.
A ladder, bolt croppers and a breeches buoy were used to bring the woman to the ground and paramedics were standing by to assess her for injuries.
